“You’ll never sleep again,” “Say goodbye to your social life,” “Prepare to be broke…” These were some of the comments made to Sam Mac and his partner Rebecca James before they became parents.
Nearly a year after the Sunrise weather presenter welcomed his daughter Margot, Sam shared a video that was a little different from the hilarious content his followers are used to.
He posted an emotional montage about how the “tough” parts of being a parent are all worth it, telling followers his daughter adds “magic” to his days.

The video opens with Sam waking Margot up from a nap, entering her nursery and sweetly talking to her.
“Hi did you have a good sleep? Hello my girl, I missed you gorgeous,” he cooed.
“I love you, can dad have a hug? Forced hugs are still hugs.”

The video was supported by an instrumental of the Beatles hit, Here Comes The Sun, and showed the sweet bond between Sam and Margot, who turns one in September.
Within the video, Sam wrote out the following caption, sharing some of the common remarks other parents told him during his partner Rebecca’s pregnancy.

Followers of the Channel 7 star took to the comments to agree with Sam’s deep message.
“Parenthood… the absolute HARDEST but also the absolute most beautiful, rewarding adventure you’ll EVER embark upon 💕💕💕,” one wrote.

“Wouldn’t trade it for the world,” added another.
Margot was welcomed into the world on September 11, 2022.
Announcing Margot’s birth, Sam said, “This is a love I never even knew existed.”

“I’m overwhelmed & still processing it all right now. My girls. Wow,” he added, revealing his baby girl’s full name is Margot Grace McMillan.
“If anyone needs me, my schedule for the next little while will be looking in awe at Bec; looking in awe at Margot; crying & repeat.
“I’m a Dad!”
