“Such a lovely bloke, so lovely with his time — had a good chat with everyone and stuck around for photos.”

Shirvo made sure to pose with Cruise after the interview for a photo.

“What a cracking day at work. Tom Cruise dropped by,” Shirvo wrote on Instagram alongside the snap.

The Olympian interviewed Cruise in July, when he was in Australia for the premiere of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.

Shirvo’s next big job will be co-hosting Carols in the Domain.

He will be on stage at the star-studded event for the first time, and revealed his favourite carol was a classic.

“Jingle Bells … it just screams Christmas to me,” he told 7NEWS.com.au.

This year, performers including Dami Im, Casey Donovan and Mahalia Barnes will hit the stage.

Carols in the Domain, Channel 7 and 7plus on Saturday, December 23. at 7.30pm AEDT.
