“I have another coffee in makeup and eggs on the set — so I can get a bit of protein in.”

After doing hours of breakfast TV every day, Nat said she usually had her lunch before midday.
“I have something sort of late morning — a big lunch usually,” she said.
“A sandwich or a big salad, leftover bolognese or whatever is in the fridge, usually at home.”
Helming Sunrise, Nat said she tried to get to bed by 8pm, with her weekdays always beginning very early.

“Sometimes I’m up at 2.30am — so I often beat my alarm,” she said.
The star finished by saying she often has a one-hour nap if she feels she needs it.
“I have a quick nap around lunchtime, for an hour (some days),” she said.
“It usually helps (If I’m feeling tired).”
Nat is spending the Christmas holidays in the picturesque south west WA town of Dunsborough with husband Andrew Thompson and their two children, Lachlan, 22, and Hunter, 18.

The star said regardless of the warm weather in the coastal town, the family always enjoyed a hot lunch as a matter of tradition.
“We always have a hot Christmas lunch even if it’s boiling hot outside,” Nat said.
The star added she always has a hands-on approach to cooking at Christmas.
“We do my mother-in-law’s prawn cocktail sauce and my mother’s pavlova recipe that I make,” she said.
“We do roast turkey and ham — all the trimmings,” she finished.
