Weekend Sunrise weatherman and presenter James Tobin has shared some exciting personal news.
The TV star has become engaged to his long-time partner Farrah, and he took to Instagram to share the details.

“A bit of news… we’re getting married ❤️ A lot of my life is lived out on TV, but I’ve also kept some things private because, well, not everything needs to be out there,” he wrote on Sunday night.
“I’m thrilled to tell you I asked Farrah to marry me and she said ‘yes’.
“For those who don’t know Farrah, she’s a ray of sunshine in this world.
“She’s brilliant and beautiful, funny and clever, a kind heart who saves lives and runs ultra marathons in her spare time.”

“The last couple of years of our relationship have been long distance while Farrah has been in Perth completing a fellowship in interventional cardiology and I couldn’t be prouder of her,” James said.
“Finally she’s coming home to our little place and we’re looking forward to starting the next chapter of our lives together. I’m the happiest man alive 💫,” he ended his post.
The photo shared was a selfie of the couple with all smiles, as Farrah showed off her new engagement ring.
James’ Channel 7 colleagues were quick to take to the comments, congratulating him on the news.
“I’m glad you waited til I met her and officially approved. I know it slowed things down but it was the right thing to do… but more importantly wooohooo!!!! Much love to you both @james_tobin and Farrah ❤️❤️❤️,” The Morning Show co-host Larry Emdur said.
“So happy for you two mate. Absolutely glorious news 🤍,” Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac said.

“Amazing news JT!!!! So, so happy for you both. Yes!!!! 👏👏👏,” Weekend Sunrise co-host Matt Doran said, to which James responded, “We couldn’t be happier.”
“Dear JT & Farrah – this is the most wonderful news. Congratulations 🎉 you are such a fab couple and I look forward to many happy times ahead. Love from us both xxx❤️,” Farmer Wants a Wife host Sam Armytage wrote.
“Biggest congrats JT ❤️,” The Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies added.
“So thrilled for you both. What an exciting year ahead,” Better Homes and Gardens star Johanna Griggs said.
“Brilliant news JT!!! Congratulations!!!” Sunrise sports presenter Mark Beretta said.
“Wonderful wonderful news, congratulations you two 🥂❤️,” 7NEWS sport presenter Mel McLaughlin wrote.

“Beautiful news JT xx,” Sunrise news presenter Edwina Bartholomew said.
Tobin has been weather presenter of Weekend Sunrise since October 2009, also regularly filling in during weekday Sunrise.
In 2020, he joined Better Homes and Gardens as a presenter of Motoring and Technology.
On Monday, Sunrise’s Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington reacted to the news, sharing they had spent the previous weekend with James at the Perth Telethon and he had not spilled the news.
“We spent Telethon last week with JT and he didn’t let it slip, that’s interesting isn’t it,” Shirvo said.
Nat added that he “would have known, too, because he would have been a little bit nervous”.
