Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac tests out his Scottish accent while visiting a Tasmanian winery

Sam Mac is beloved for his ability to entertain.

And on Thursday, the excitable weatherman was at his best while showing his knack for accents on the breakfast show.

Appearing at Devil’s Corner vineyard on the east coast of Tasmania, Sam was struck by the softness of cellar door representative Sandy’s Scottish accent.

“You have a more gentle Scottish accent,” Sam said, playfully, to his new pal.

“It’s more Taswegian these days,” Sandy replied.

On the show, Sandy revealed she moved to Tasmania when she was just 19 years old, as Sam noted he had plenty of wonderful Scottish friends.

It was then Sam did his best impression of the accent.

“I love Scottish people — I have many friends and they are like ‘are you doing all right, come on over’ — everything is sort of a threat as well,” he continued.

Sandy laughed-off the praise saying she can “do that” too.

“Lovely, gentle Scottish accent there,” Sam finished.

Devil’s corner is most known for its chardonnay and pinot noir, with Sandy remarking they often collaborate with “food partners” to elevate the experience of visitors.

The vineyard is in view of the famous Hazards mountain range and close to Wineglass Bay.

Later in the show, Sam enjoyed a wine-tasting session.

Sam just recently made his grand return to Sunrise after taking time off to be with his one-year-old daughter Margot.

The doting dad took time off to look after Margot after his partner, stylist Rebecca James, went back to work.
